The Power to Lift Others Up
Who is it?
The IPF, a leading force in the world of strength sports, presents powerlifting; a rapidly growing sport, especially among student athletes. Furthermore, in 2024, for the first time, student powerlifters competed under FISU, bringing this discipline to another global multi-sport organization. Although there have been numerous changes in the structure of the sport over the years, the premise that athletes fight against gravity to lift as much weight as possible remains alive and well. In addition, the IPF demands the highest standards from its athletes, who are subject to the strictest anti-doping rules, rigorously complying with WADA requirements. This means that all athletes must complete anti-doping education courses and undergo testing both in and out of competition.
"The International Powerlifting Federation was founded in 1972 and has since been a leading force in the world of strength sports."
